The margin level is the relation between a trader’s funds and the margin (expressed as a percentage). The margin level shows the current risks, allowing them to be lessened. By paying attention to the margin level, a trader can see whether he has enough funds to open a new position or to keep an open position open. The margin level can be calculated using the following formula: Margin Level = (Equity / Necessary Margin) x 100%.
